Happy Birthday, Salina. Do you "feel" any older. You share a birthday with my nephew!
The photo of Karin's name is from the Nike Women's Marathon, which was in San Francisco on Sunday, Oct 21st. This was a race that Karin loved and it was held this year on Karin's birthday. It was very cool to see her name posted on the Niketown store window, among the 20,000 runners.
Last year, Karin ran the full marathon in 4 hours 45 minutes. She was clocked at the half marathon marker at exactly 2 hours 22 minutes.
Karin was registered for this year's half marathon. Karin's brother and sister, Jonathan and Katie, ran for her. Jonathan and Katie ran the entire half marathon together and their official finish time was EXACTLY 2 hours 22 minutes.
