Bethey and those who love Karin-

Although we speak almost everyday, I haven't written to you on the blog in a long time.

For all those who ask-yes, I look at the blog everyday, sometimes multiple times a day and when I'm really not thinking straight, I read the old entries, which I can admit is not the smartest thing to do.

To answer another question-I have no idea what my wifes dear friend is going to write about. I've only told her to write the truth, always.

Beth, I know I don't have to say it, but I love you and your family forever, without you and Johanna, I don't know where I would be...now I know why Karin kept you both in her heart. Bethey, you know the real deal with all this so I want to say for those who are still 'blogging', simply and sincerely, Beth IS truly the best friend a girl (and now me) could ever have. You are truly an amazing person and Rod and your kids are blessed to have you.

For those who are still blogging-the Carters are doing fine, nothing is taken for granted. We walk a little slower, hug a little longer, spend more time together and when we can, laugh a little louder. We often thank God for the time He gave us with mommy, wife and best friend, while still crying how it was too short.

I personally thank you all for your prayers, love, support, help, and those Vente Stickers and Bracelets we see. Thank You.

I love you Karin, Salina and Noah forever...

When people pass young, as Karin did, they are often remembered because they died, or how they died.

Not Karin. Karin is remembered for how she lived.

Everybody loved Karin. And I mean EVERYBODY! I saw it in San Leandro when she was a kid, in Dublin in her 20's, in Brentwood in her 30's. She was one of a kind.

You're a lucky guy, Jeff Carter. You spent most of your lifetime with an angel on earth. I can't begin to imagine the pain you've lived and continue to carry. But do know you are surrounded with love and faith. And two amazing kids that are a true testament to the love you and Karin share.

You and the kids are in my thoughts and prayers every single day. I wish I took the time to say it more.

Jeff ~ very special thoughts and prayers to you and the kids tomorrow ~ one year ago marks Karin's 5K event. I'll have my Venti Miracle shirt on for sure and do 5K tomorrow for her.
